Middle Kolsay lake

The middle (second) Kolsai lake (Mynzhylgy) is located at an altitude of 2252, the largest of the three lakes.

Middle Kolsay Lake is the second of the three Kolsay Lakes, located in Kazakhstan's Almaty Region. It sits at a higher elevation than Lower Kolsay Lake and is accessible via a scenic hiking trail that takes about 1.5 to 2 hours to reach.

The lake is known for its breathtaking emerald-green waters, surrounded by stunning alpine landscapes and dense forests. It provides a more tranquil experience compared to Lower Kolsay and is perfect for those looking to escape the crowds.

Activities here include hiking, camping, and fishing, with opportunities to see local wildlife and enjoy the natural beauty. The best time to visit is during the summer months, from June to September, when the trails are clear and the weather is pleasant. Middle Kolsay Lake offers a serene getaway for nature enthusiasts!
